Dmytro’s Story

Dmytro Postol

Dmytro was born in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. In 2014, he moved to Mariupol after Russia annexed part of Ukraine. After graduating from high school, he entered the Priazovsky State Technical University with a plan to study tourism.

While he was completing his studies at his university, Russia attacked Ukraine once again. His university, like the rest of Mariupol, was destroyed. Dmytro then made the decision to leave the city and travel to Greece during the spring of 2022.

In Greece, Dmytro attends the American College of Greece and is studying informational technology. Before the war affected him, Dmytro played sports and wrote music in his free time. Now, he is very interested in programming, studying Photoshop, and enjoys communicating with and learning from the people he has met in Greece.
