Alexandra is a senior at Lake Washington High School with a passion for environmental awareness, computer science, and international business. When the war between Russia and Ukraine escalated in 2022, Alexandra’s extended family in Greece opened their home to a mother, her son, and daughter who fled Kyiv. Alexandra had an opportunity to get to know the daughter, Anastasia, and learned more about the impact of war on the education of students in Anastasia’s high school and others displaced throughout Europe.

With Anastasia’s help, she identified nine promising Ukranian students who had fled to various European countries. Your Path Forward was then created as an international platform to provide opportunities to develop skills in business, hands-on learning, and international connections.
